Is a bloated ego a symptom of malnutrition?

banana

So, this woman, Becki Snow, wanted to decide what it was like to be Terri Sciavo so she figured she'd stop eating and drinking. And blog her "hunger strike". After two hours, she found a disparate need of lip balm (tell that to the millions of mothers around the world who have a desperate need of a clean cup of water for their babies).

I admit, I have not read her whole account. It became too painful after she found the strength to notify the Internet of an earthquake in the Indian ocean,

Just so you know: news coming out of Singapore is an 8.5 earthquake centered just off Sumatra in Indonesia has racked the place ... Do NOT expect me to point to this and laugh as God condemning the world.

It's actually painful for me to even point to that site ... I would like to think the woman is mentally ill, but I don't really see her behavior as very much different than Mary Porta's or all the people that have tried to somehow compare Terri Schiavo to a mass murderer. They're all out of control of their reactionary emotions.

Maybe Becki would do well with a visit from these chaps.

Here is a voice of reason. Dr. Ronald Cranford allowed Joe Scarborough and his correspondent to bury themselves in lies about the Schiavo case. It's quite heartening to see that most of America is not buying the sensational cable news claims.

Why do you mock protesters that are voicing their opinion about Terri Schiavo? Do you think war is the only think worthy of protesting? Last time I saw, this is the USA where it is Constitutional for peaceful assembly.

Whether Terri is in a vegetative state or not, I think that the protesters are sickened by the inhumane way she is dying, and perhaps THAT is what they objecting to.
Come on, just READ it! She feels she's providing "moral support" to Sean Hannity. All these people are tools - there were are thousands of cases exactly like Shindler/Schiavo case, but usually the families work things out among themselves quietly, not in courtrooms, on national TV and in the halls of Congress.

Here's Becki, "My tongue is now completely WHITE? What on earth is up with THAT?"

It's embarrassing!
I must admit, I did not click on the link to read Becki's account. I figured there would be people who would go without food or water in protest when the feeding tube was removed. I do not agree with that form of protest, God does not wish for us to neglect anyone, even ourselves. We are stewards of our own selves, and two wrongs do not make a right. But, I admire Becki for taking a stand for something she thought was wrong.
I admire Becki. She shows us how any cause can be transformed to be about her, or in my case, me. Since there's only ever one of Becki, Becki needs to be extended so there's enough of her for everyone. I'm hoping she'll tackle the abuses at Abu Ghraib, next. Maybe by cutting off her husband - you know, no more sex until the sexual abuse of the prisoners stops.
