Miracles and Dr. Issam Nemeh
In English, the word "miracle" can be used in at least a few distinct ways. It can refer to a violation of understood physical laws through an alleged divine intervention, such as the parting of the Red Sea or the literal bodily resurrection of the crucified Christ. Let's call those events "divine miracles".
In a different way, we can refer to fortunate but unlikely events which we cannot completely understand but do not violate physical laws as "miracles" - such as when a terminal cancer patient given two months to live recovers their health. Let's call those events "fortunate miracles."
We can also refer to common, but particularly fortunate events as "miracles", as when we speak of vaccines as "miracle drugs" or the passage of pro-environment legislation through a Republican controlled legislative body. In this case, we do understand the nature of the phenomenon and we call it a "miracle" simply to refer to the fortune it brings. We can call these "colloquial miracles". The use of the word miracle in a purely colloquial sense brings about no controversy - we readily accept that the use of the word merely ascribes tremendous fortune to an occurrence.
Issam Nemeh, a medical doctor in the Cleveland area has recently been holding "faith healing" services and many attending them claim to have been healed of physical afflictions through a divine miracle. The alleged "miracles" have included the disappearance of a chronic pain of the shoulder, a ruptured spinal disc, and a eye tumor.
Ascribing such phenomenon to a particular deity is nonsense - all religions have always credited the power of unexplained healing to their preferred deity or deities - Hindu, Muslim, and American Indian as well as Christian.
By having many massage sessions with my aunt who is talented in many alternative healing techniques, I can personally attest to the fact of having observed many phenomena unexplainable by Western medical science. I felt her hands become not warm but hot while "working" on me, a bizarre and pleasant tremor oscillating down my body coinciding with the placement of her hands above my body, and marked improvement in a curvature of my spine which many years of traditional Western medicine didn't put a dent in. She ascribed the phenomena to no deity. When speaking of what was happening, she explained that she imagined "energy" coming in through her head and being focused by her hands. She didn't claim to further understand it itself, but only to understand that what she could do works.
The power of positive thinking itself through prayer or another vehicle is a common observance. And the gift of healing "by hands" through an innate and sometimes developed skill is also common across religions and cultures. These aspects to sickness and healing are ones which have been unusually ignored in Western medicine. That we are beginning to recognize them is a correction in course not a new direction.
The people believing that Issam Nemeh is a conduit for a Christian Holy Spirit do no harm by believing so - in fact that belief in itself may be the largest actual influence to any actual benefit. But nonetheless it is superstition: it is an irrational preference to believe fortunate miracles as being divine miracles.

This is no humbug. I have taught and practiced medicine for 38 years. I was at the Wolstein Center, I watched carefully, particularly arthropathies, profound changes. We'll never convince these atheists, won't they have a bit of explaining to do at judgment - hey guys don't stand by me. Praised be the name of Jesus.

Because you're a doctor trained in the science of observation, I ask the same question I asked Lorraine: what physical law or laws were broken by the divine interventions you believe yourself to have witnessed?
What evidence have you that "Jesus" caused what? If you could be specific, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Dr. Nemeh isn't a master at what you call "bait and switch." He is a true healer of God's love. He does not charge money at his healing services like you said. Although, he does charge money at individual visits, but Dr. Nemeh has to make a living somehow, right? I experienced his healing myself. No words could describe it. After, my teeth could not stop chattering. My mouth and jaw also felt very different. I know that Dr. Nemeh is not a fraud, and I would recommend him to anyone who believes.
Jesus transfer this gift of receiving the Holy Spirit to Dr. Nemeh?
Look up the definition of faith..it has nothing to do with proof of physical laws. So get off this hook, it is tiresome.

I attended the healing service at St. Martin of Tours in Cleveland, OH yesterday. I was there to support a relative, not for any personal issue. Those in attendance were prayerful people of faith. The Nemeh's ministry is one of love and caring. There is no question that the Lord was present to those who believe in him. "Wherever two or more are gathered in my name, there is love". The Nemeh's do not seek to profit from sharing their "gift". People are free to avail themselves of it, or to ignore it. It is hypocritical to criticize something you don't understand, but feel interested enough to comment on. Jesus was criticized too. Perhaps that's the fate of the true believer, but one they accept willingly.
At Ernest Angley's Grace Cathedral at 2700 State Road in Akron, Ohio = is where many are healed of all manner of sicknesses and diseases. The reason that this takes place in our services is because the TRUTH is preached in all it's fullness, without compromise and then God confirms the truth as is stated plainly in his word - the evidence of Signs, wonders, miracles, and healings. The bible plainly states that there would come false prophets in the last days and they would really be deceivers. It's very important that you take EVERYONE, no matter who they are, what title they hold, what claims they make and take them to the WORD OF GOD. Reverend Angley is a devout, true, prophet of God who lives what he preaches, who has completely sold out his life to God and staying with God all hours of the day and night, ever seeking him for his divine will. This man that God has chosen to help people has been on so many 40 day water fasts that he has lost count and the bible teaches fasting. There are three steps into the greatness of God and they are simply: Prayer, FASTING, and living in the WORD OF GOD. Reverend Angley has taught this down through the years. I have been healed through this Jeusus ministry of many, many ailments. I have been to a lot of services in other places thorought my life, however, until I stepped foot into Grace Cathredral at 2700 State Road, Akron OHio - that I found true deliverance. I was healed of all types of bondages. I've been healed of skin cancer, I've been healed of a hip condition, blow out knee, psoriasis, depression, migrane headaches , pnemonia and many more things. It isn't Reverend Angley that is doing these miracles. He stays hidden behind the cross and the Lord uses this humble servant of God to pour his great power through for the healing of the people. Reverend Angley helpes people day and night, always, praying for them, helping and always thinking of others. His main goal in his life is to win souls. He often says - Lord, If I can't win any more souls, then just let me die. His other phrase is to WIN THE LOST AT ANY COST. This is all I can say, only all the deliverances for people bound with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, cocaine and other things like witchcraft and all other evils of the devil - I've witness many people being delivered. The deaf and dumb are healed and many wonderful things happen. If you would like to attend our services. They are ALWAYS FREE - we never charge for anyone to come to the house of God. Our healing and miracle services are on Friday's at 7:00 pm and the services start with the beautiful Angel's Grace Cathedral Choir = they are awesome and anointed! If you don't see miracles, then you don't have to come back. I personally invite you to come and experience and RECEIVE ALL GOD HAS JUST FOR YOU! You may, of course, visit our website at: www.ernestangley.org and you may also call the 24-hour prayline for any prayer requests that you may have at: Cleveland toll free: 1-800-842-8043 or Arkon people can call: 330-929-5010 24 hours. We love you and please come and be with us sometime! We have prayer in every service and our other service times are Saturdays at 7:00 and Sunday Morning at 10:00 am and Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm
God Bless you and Yours this Christmas!
Praise Be to God !!
I pray for the conversion of those hearts who are hardened to the possibility that God can work through people in this way.
We are servants of God here to proclaim His greatness and love to each other!
Simple faith!
My question is what physical laws are not broken by the people who are healed?
God bless you! Even though I don't agree with what you say...
I am, however, confused about what happened when he prayed for me. Was something miraculous supposed to happen? I felt peaceful, but I am wondering if I was supposed to feel something more. I am confused and new to baing so content in His grace, and I just need someone to share some of his or her wisdom with me. I want so badly to believe that something miraculous could happen! Do I need to sit and meditate on my own about what happened, or wait for something to happen? Help me please.
The Bible warns that many will come in the last days performing so-called miracles in Jesus's name to lead many astray. Does anyone remember that even Pharoah turned his staff into a snake, too? That was the power of Satan!! He's not as powerful as God, but he is powerful. Please people, don't believe everything you see. Erik made an great point and I didn't see that anybody could answer him.
my wife was cured of RSD by dr nemeh.... a true miracle of faith

previous months and 13 times total since the year 2000.
Being in law enforcement, I'm a skeptic. I've been trained my whole life to "never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see with your own eyes".
The first thing that I saw was no one asking for any money.
They, the church people, gave the throngs of people "free bottled water, pop, coffee, tea, cookies and potato chips. Oh, they'd sell you 2 hot dogs on a plate with some potato salad for 2 bucks just to cover some of their costs but not many were hungry. Questions ran through my mind, how can they afford this? Why aren't they asking for donations? Who's paying for all this?
I waited my turn, watching some people fall to the floor as Dr. Nemeh prayed with them...I thought..."no way in hell will I make a fool out of myself and fall over like that". I listened to the stories of people who claimed healing and thought "if only it were all true and maybe this and maybe that and maybe it was all just a big coincidence".
My turn came, I looked at the altar with our Lord hanging on the cross and said to myself, "Help me Lord, touch me today". As the doctor approached me my legs started to shake like the leaves on a tree on a windy day. I looked down at them and said "what the heck is happening". I fought to stay upright then Bam...the next thing I recall is Dr Nemeh bent over me saying something I couldn't understand. According to my wife I laid there about 5 minutes and the doctor's wife asked me if in was OK and ready to get up. I asked what had happened? She said I received a gift. I said "yeah, I know but what happened" She again said: you received a gift from God". I again said "yeah, but what happened to me". She said just thank God for the great gift He has given you today". I was helped up still weak kneed and walked back to my pew.
I have not been in the heart arrhythmia since that day, 2 years ago even though the experts said "it would be a permanent thing and that I'd need surgery". Do I have other problems, yes, don't we all? Is life perfect for me? No. But I truly believe that I was touched by the Holy Spirit that day. Why me? I ask myself that a lot. Surely I wasn't the sickest or most deserving one there that day. I thank our Lord for his gift to me and I thank Dr Nemeh for his time and effort. May God bless him and all the good people that work with him.

Show me a faith healer regenerate a limb or kidney and I'll be impressed! Faith healers never take on that form of miracle.
I don't believe in televangelists- but I do think this man does have the ability to heal.
Think of it- we pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to doctors and most of us don't get the proper diagnosis or treatment after years of seeing so-called "legitimate health care providers" so if this guy can do better....why not let him try?
My first question is still: Why can faith healers never regenerate limbs? Does God have something against amputees?
Suggesting a NASA scientist confirm medical results is ludicrous!
What one would do is conduct a study where a panel of doctors examines a group of patients, half of whom get the Nemeh treatment and the other half doesn't. Afterwards the same doctors - who don't know which patients got treatment from Nemeh and which didn't - examine the patients.
Why don't do that for skeptics like me?
Imagine for a moment, a room filled with all the gifts God has ready to give you.. The door is closed.. We have the free will to choose. We can ask for gifts from God or we don't.. He invites us to share in His love... He wants to give... He is better than the most loving parent... He desires great things for you... If life is an occasion, why not rise to it!
