The price of gas vs. war
This is quite odd: a graph of Bush's approval rating and gas prices. The price of gas dips (indicated in the up direction) along with news commonly thought to account for a bump in Bush's approval rating:
- 9/2001: - 9/11 terrorist attack: gas prices steeply fall; Bush's approval rating steeply increases
- 3/2003: - Invasion of Iraq: gas prices dip; Bush's approval rating get a bump
- 12/2003: - Saddam Hussein captured: gas prices dip; Bush's approval rating get a bump
