House Republicans magically produce three zeros
Their plan to offset Katrina costs makes up dozens of billions per year in nonexistent offsets.

I'm curious to know how Josh knows that the error was not in fact made in the explanation section but rather with the numbers.
Well, think about it: "eliminate attache positions in the Foreign Agricultural Service: $37 billion [a year]"
That's eliminating 1 million attache positions at $37K/year.
Or 500,000 at $74K/year.

I myself being notorious for making stupid math errors cannot pass judgment on those who apparently have.
However, I must say, whether it is $37 million or $37 billion, that pork should have been cut a long time ago. This sort of crap is what pisses me off about the federal government and why we should be paying a hell of a lot less in taxes and not be paying for stupid things that the private sector should be if it is the direct beneficiary of it.
