More Imaginary Liberals

Beth continues to pontificate from the suburbs,

Further illogical ideas: the liberals who denounce free market capitalism. They say how dare the Wal Mart heirs get money for doing nothing but sitting on their butts. Nevermind the fact that they get said money from you and I paying for items at Wal Mart which we consume. But the lefties have no problem giving welfare money to people sitting on their butts doing nothing, where you and I give our money in taxes and get NOTHING in return for that money we gave. Meanwhile the lefties ignore the fact that the Walton family has a foundation, and that Wal Mart has programs that also give back to the community.

I frequently cite the WalMart heirs as an example when someone tries to claim we live in a meritocracy or that excessive wealth is OK because those with it perform excessively valuable work. So, that's probably me she's thinking of, an actual person.

She goes of the track of reality rather quickly though. I don't typically shop at WalMart. Around the year 2000 I bough a spatula at a WalMart because my car broke down near one and I needed coin to make a call. The plastic part separated from the wooden handle the first time I used it. Last summer, I moved to within 1/4 mile of a WalMart: Since that time, I've bought 2 aquarium air-stones there. I recall on that visit I picked up a bag of cookies or chips.

Yet Beth is angry because I allegedly contribute to the enrichment of people I use as examples of the excesses of our free market.

She also fits in a welfare queen complaint even though those receiving welfare have been required to work for over a decade now. It's easy to be a pissed off right-winger when you allow yourself to create the reality you're pissed off about.

Oops, I missed this posting first time around, you actually have 5 postings, not 4, about me. Why didn't you address these things at my blog? Why come over here and spout out your frustrations at me? How can we as a nation have a dialogue if we're not on the same page (or the same website) discussng matters that mean the most? I have no problem with you ranting, I rather prefer we get out our griveances and such. For example, I didn't know welfare people were required to wrok, if they do then what do they do? Why if they are working are we paying them?

I would also say you are more than welcome to not like Wal Mart, as a consumer in a free market, that is your perogative and your right. If Wal Mart wants your business, that's for them to figure out how to do that.

The one thing I miss about being at Hannity was that there was opposing thoughts discussed, in a civilized manner. If my blog has become nasty as you say it has, I apologize, because I don't want to be thought of as unreasonable or nasty. It was not my intention to inflame but I do like challenges.

I do take issue with you on your blog! There are enough problems with your posts to fill 3 or 4 blogs! I mean, the difference between our rants are that I don't rant unless it's based ion facts I'm prepared to stand behind whereas you repeat rants you've heard from O'Reilly and his ilk and you get yourself in trouble because you assume they've done the research.

They don't care about facts, they lie to generate compliant lazy people like yourself who have allowed Republicans to run government like organized crimen for in most of this century so far.

You probably didn't know about welfare-to-work
because it was Clinton who succeeded in getting it through Congress where others had failed. Not that he should have ... but it would go against the lie that Clinton was economically liberal if you knew Clinton cut welfare drastically.
Oh joy, a Wikipedia link. I knew Clinton reduce welfare (we did have a Republican Congree then, did we not?)

I don't listen or watch O'Reilly, we have been through this Erik. My rants come from my heart, like it or not.
Where did you get the idea that Wikipedia is a liberal mouthpiece?

Where did you get the idea that some people just sit at home having more kids and getting more welfare?

Where did you get the idea that the Founders wanted a strong national military?

Where did you get the idea that we should lower taxes regardless of the circumstances?

Where did you find out abvout that Hsu or whopever contributor?

Where did you learn and believe for a long time that most Americans were anti-abortion?

Where do you get the idea that most of what PlannedParenthood does relates to abortion?

Specifically! If not Bill O'Reilly, where did you get all this false information that just happens to be the same lies peddaled by FOX, Limbaugh and all the rest of the right-wing noise machine?
1.) Wikipedia is not a liberal mouthpiece, but it also is not reliable.

2.) I never said or implied that.

3.) Our Founding Fathers wanted the federal governmemt to provide for the common defense!

4.) Because our taxes are too high to begin with.

5.) I read about the Hsu story online.

6.) I do not believe most Americans are anti-abortion, but I think they all should be!

7.) If Planned Parenthood did just 1 abortion, I would despise them. They do thousands of them, Erik.
