Whispering Pines Weekend
December 8-12, 2005

Day 1 at the Androy Hotel in Superior, WI - at 7 stories it stands as the tallest building in Superior. There is a bar in the hotel and guests can take their drinks to their rooms at bar close.

Days 2-4 in the "Honeymoon Cabin" at Whispering Pines Motel, a few miles north of Silver Bay, MN in Illgen City. Illgen City's population is the proprieter of Whispering Pines and his children.

During a day trip to Grand Marais, we stopped to take pictures of bright red berries on an unknown tree (dogwood?).

Here is Karen showing her $1 score of a place mat of presidents.

Two summers ago, the Blue Water Cafe served freedom fries. Now they have french fries. Karen had three slices of french toast.

Here is what Gooseberry Falls looks like frozen.

There wasn't enough cover for snow activities. We mainly engaged in laying in bed watching DVDs on a PowerBook and enjoied doing not much of anything among Northern Minnesota's beautiful pines and birches.
